A listing can change after an inquiry is sent. Keep enough information to identify the product and selected variant at the time of the request.
Practical Considerations
Save the web address, seller name, item title, selected options, stated contents and date. A screenshot can be useful, but it should accompany written details that can be searched and compared later.
Suggested Procedure
- Record the exact product address.
- List the selected size, color and pack quantity.
- Save the relevant specification and contents information.
Illustrative Example
A storage-box listing may offer several sizes under one address. The address alone will not show whether the buyer selected the shallow or deep version.
Points to Check
Keep reference material with the quotation rather than in an unrelated message thread. Do not assume a later page view shows the original offer.
